Zavtech is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security professional to join its team and enhance the company's information security posture. This role requires a strong focus on protecting digital assets through risk assessment, incident response, network security, and threat analysis. The Cyber Security specialist takes ownership of identifying vulnerabilities and responding effectively to security incidents. This position demands a clear understanding of compliance and regulatory standards and the ability to apply risk assessment methodologies to safeguard organizational data.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in digital forensics and incident analysis, leveraging forensic analysis tools such as EnCase and FTK. The role involves following incident response workflows and frameworks like the NIST Incident Response Framework to handle and report security incidents efficiently. Working independently without team management responsibilities, the candidate will play a crucial role in strengthening Zavtechs security defenses and maintaining a secure operating environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential security threats to the organization's information systems.
- Monitor network security measures and implement strategies to prevent unauthorized access or attacks.
- Perform threat analysis to detect and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, following established incident response workflows and frameworks.
- Conduct digital forensic investigations using tools such as EnCase, FTK, and other forensic analysis software to collect and analyze evidence related to security breaches.
- Develop, maintain, and improve incident response plans and procedures aligned with compliance and regulatory standards.
- Analyze security event data within Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to identify suspicious activities and derive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Document incident handling and reporting activities thoroughly to support post-incident analysis and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging cyber security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance defense mechanisms.
- Apply risk assessment methodologies to prioritize security efforts and resource allocation effectively.
