Zhen Wok Authentic Chinese & Thai Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Order Taker to join our team at our Lake City Business Bay location in Lahore. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of relevant experience in the restaurant or food service industry, demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to process orders efficiently and accurately. This role requires an energetic individual with excellent communication capabilities who can confidently interact with customers and coordinate orders with kitchen and floor staff to ensure a smooth service experience. Although the position does not involve managing a team, the Order Taker must work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
The Order Taker plays a crucial role in handling dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders professionally while providing knowledgeable guidance on menu items and promotions. The candidate should be attentive to detail, possess good multitasking abilities, and have a basic understanding of order management software and point-of-sale systems. A professional attitude paired with patience and politeness in dealing with customers is essential to uphold the restaurants reputation for excellent service. Candidates with prior restaurant experience and basic computer skills are preferred, as they will be better positioned to excel in this dynamic role.
Responsibilities
- Accurately take orders from customers for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, ensuring all details are clear and complete.
- Provide clear and friendly guidance to customers about the menu items, available deals, and specials to enhance their dining experience.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and floor staff to communicate orders promptly, ensuring timely preparation and service.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any order-related concerns politely and efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Utilize order management software or point-of-sale systems to input and manage orders, maintaining accuracy throughout the transaction.
- Manage multiple customer orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and a calm demeanor.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the order-taking station to contribute to smooth restaurant operations.
- Monitor order progress and follow up with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and dispatched on time.
- Observe and adhere to company policies, food safety standards, and hygiene practices while delivering all services.
- Communicate any customer feedback or operational issues promptly to management to support ongoing service improvements.
