- Work closely with project team to design and implement solid test coverage
- Design, implement, and maintain complex testing environments
- Plan, develop, and execute system and regression level testing scenarios on multiple platforms.
- Actively participate in sizing and planning exercises
- Accurately estimate tasks and assignments
- Accurately track and report testing progress and daily status
- Provide detailed descriptions of defects in the defect tracking database
- Actively support customers during Technical Preview Programs
- Read and interpret technical materials
- Increase level of knowledge in regard to the product and related technologies.
- 3+ years Quality Assurance experience testing Computer Software, developing and maintaining test plans and test cases
- Understanding of Windows networking and administration. Special consideration given to prior Network Monitoring experience or coursework
- Understanding and experience in network protocols, FTP, SSH, SSL, SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, UDP, TCP/IP, CLI, TL1 etc.
- Basic knowledge in computer scripting preferably JScript , VBScript, or C++ experience a plus
- Technical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills required
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Problem solver that can work both independently and as a member of a team
