Z&M Associate seeks an experienced Professional Cook. This role requires extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in Pakistani cuisine, with at least 10 years of experience in professional cooking. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional skills in food preparation, menu planning, cooking techniques, food presentation, and quality control. The cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes that meet high standards in taste, appearance, and hygiene. The Professional Cook will also manage a small team to ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This position demands excellent organization, effective communication, and strict adherence to food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Pakistani dishes in accordance with company recipes and customer preferences.
- Plan menus that balance taste, nutrition, and cost efficiency while incorporating traditional Pakistani flavors.
- Apply advanced cooking techniques to ensure consistent quality and presentation of food.
- Supervise and guide a team of one kitchen staff member to optimize workflow and maintain standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas following health and safety regulations.
- Control inventory and order supplies to ensure availability of fresh ingredients at all times.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company and customer expectations.
- Enforce proper hygiene and safety measures including personal cleanliness and kitchen sanitation.
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer feedback.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their cooking skills and maintain kitchen efficiency.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals with minimal waste.
