Position Overview

The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for managing internal communications strategy while partnering with Creative Services, Marketing Campaigns, cross-departmental teams, and leadership. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a background in brand marketing or advertising and proven success in partnering with distinct stakeholders to develop and execute communication plans. You will collaborate with stakeholders from Partner Marketing Managers, Creative Services, Marketing Campaigns, and other internal departments to create cross-team collaboration.

The Internal Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for:

Manage and develop internal company communications:

  • Email announcements and messages
  • Maintain current information on the company intranet website
  • Press releases
  • Apply for industry awards and recognition
  • Communicate awards and recognition achieved
  • Internal newsletters to sales
  • Talking points for senior leadership, including notes for presentations
  • Preparing responses to press inquiries and requests for information
  • Manage the communication strategy for the company (news, events, awards, holidays, etc.)
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and best practices impacting digital channels.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting communication sharing performance ROI, goals, learning, and actionable recommendations with marketing, sales, and executive teams.

We are seeking candidates with the following experience and skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science required
  • Degree in advertising, journalism, or English

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years in marketing communications, digital marketing, or copywriting
  • Must have exceptional project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge and execution of the structure and content of the English language.
  • Experience working for US or UK-based organizations.
  • Competent computer skills to perform essential functions using Microsoft Office products
  • Effectively communicate information and ideas
  • Experience developing copy for internal communications
  • Ability to present ideas and concepts for projects.
  • A team player with exceptional organizational, time management, and technical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all communications deliverables
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency in writing
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Preference is given for understanding of IT technology and having a technology writing background
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
