The primary objective of the proposal manager is to orchestrate end to end proposal response lifecycle so that the deliverables are high quality and on time

  1. Owning, anchoring, and driving qualified opportunities with Sales, Presales, WinCenter, Delivery and Partner representatives
  2. Follow the established governance processes for every opportunity. Document & follow up on review items.
  3. Timely escalation of items that require leadership attention

In addition, Proposal Managers are expected to maintain and update RFP response content in the WinCenter content repository.

PROCESS:

List critical processes this individual will undertake to achieve targeted results.

  • Manage virtual teams and coordinate inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, solutioning, product teams, partners, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • “Project Manage” the RFP response process via regular status meetings. Document owners, action items, escalation points so that the response is complete in a timely manner.
  • Perform kickoff for each RFx, to onboard all stakeholders & contributors – response strategy, assignments, timelines
  • Create response templates & content as required. Populate initial technical content for SMEs to customize (leverage content platform).
  • Ensure content matches RFx requirements / questions.
  • Conduct and document governance for each RFx – engage stakeholders per published matrix & guidelines, and follow through open items
  • Follow the Shipley-based review process for content review & approval
  • Refresh / augment WinCenter content repository based on each RFx response
  • Identify improvement initiatives for proposal management function

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • BE/BTech/MBA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience

 CERTIFICATES/LICENSES, ETC.:  

  • APMP certification preferable.

 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years in an IT Infrastructure Services Proposal Management role.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, colleagues, and management.
  • Demonstrates a high level of responsiveness to the customer.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, leadership, creativity, influencing, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills required.
