Job Responsibilities

• Prepare lectures to deliver to the students about basic principles of the Mandarin language as well as information related to Chinese culture
• Develop course materials for students to complete in the classroom and in their free time, which includes handouts, essays and additional homework assignments
• Generate student-centered activities for developing communicative competence
• Evaluate students’ performances, including grading assignments and making note of how well students participate in discussions
• Participate in co-curricular activities, such as workshops and special events to engage the students.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop school-wide policies and create an overall better learning environment
• Extend office hours to students for additional resources

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s preferably in languages
• Native Chinese will be preferred
• Experience of conducting training sessions/ managing large audience in a class room environment
• Ability to lead a classroom
