Job Description

Production Designer will be responsible for managing the creative assets for the Zones Creative Services team. He/she will be leading the collaborative collection, selection, organization, maintenance, enhancement, archiving, and delivery of digital assets, while developing and implementing best practices to generate efficiencies that provide increased productivity and organizational excellence. The Production Designer will work closely with the creative team to manage day-to-day asset needs while also maintaining Zones’ long-term digital distribution workflow and strategy. He/she must have strong attention to detail, and technical skills with digital files, and practical experience in implementing new solutions across a business. This individual will also provide design support for projects such as corporate, administrative, and general production, including layout alterations, color corrections, resizing existing projects, general office signage and materials, business cards and stationary, and designing new projects based on existing creative or established guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management and organization of digital assets. This includes (but is not limited to) creating a system, gathering, receiving, archiving, and distributing digital assets to/from a variety of teams
  • Focus on efficiencies and find ways to improve workflows
  • Streamline productivity from a filing perspective
  • Liaison between Creative and PPM for imagery needs, and manages various image libraries
  • Facilitate secure data transfers by providing front line communication, instructions, monitoring, and assistance for internal and external sources to access content
  • Track and organize production and distribution of assets; standardize delivery workflows
  • Establish and execute relevant file management, naming conventions, metadata, and assortment of collection relationships
  • Ensure consistency in how digital images are entered and stored in the photo server(s)
  • Work with teams to develop and implement specifications for what materials to access, and how they will be delivered
  • Understanding design principles, color theory, and layout
  • Mastering design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite
  • Managing production projects that include cross-functional teams
  • Assist designers with general production projects
  • Collaborates with AD, ACD, and CD of Creative Services, and other designers, to assist with general design projects
  • Ensures accurate, consistent, and high-quality output of print or pre-media art files, manages own workload
  • Responds to request for logos, proof materials, and project information, from department staff and internal partners
  • Altering graphic elements as necessary or converting graphic elements into correct formats
  • Creating graphic elements (photos, logos, icons) for internal marketing campaign use
  • Design and format various forms, documents, and manuals, for all internal departments
  • Design and create material for conferences including signs, tent cards, name badges, various handouts, gifts, email and form headers, microsites, flyers, t-shirts and program books
  • Assist with the production design, and layouts, of Solutions by Zones, the company's bi-annual business magazine
  • Discuss projects with Art Director or Studio Manager to ensure projects meet budgetary requirements
  • Follow best practices in time management and organization to avoid production errors or cost overruns
  • Place orders for, and deliver, corporate business card, and stationary, orders. Update corporate stationary branding as needed
  • Maintain updates on corporate PowerPoint slide templates and PPT materials, and distribute to various asset locations for company accessibility
  • Cubicle name plates, wall posters, ceiling signage, collateral placed in stations around the company
  • Update corporate internal documents such as Playbooks, battle cards, templates, forms, etc

Skills Required:

  • Ability to multi-task in a high-energy, fast paced environment while staying focused
  • Strong experience with computers, including: Operating Systems (Macintosh and Windows), Browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer)
  • Must have strong organizational skills to maintain multiple tasks and the status of each daily
  • Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize large volume of work effectively and efficiently with tight deadlines
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate and communicate solutions effectively
  • Experience working with digital media, including: Adobe Creative Suite (Expert Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills), Microsoft Office 365, familiar with all types of file formats, including video formats. Mac proficiency and high level of technological literacy
  • Familiar with various video and image formats including; TIF, PNG, JPEG, EPS, WMV, MOV, MP4, etc
  • Purchase fonts, stock photography, and stock videos. Negotiate terms and maintain agreements. Demonstrates strong working knowledge and understanding the language of usage rights
  • Knowledge of advanced media concepts such as; aspect ratios, streaming, compression techniques, etc

Please note that it's a parmanent night shift job
