As the Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed revenue targets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to acquire new clients, retain existing clients, and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with the Upwork management team to identify and execute on new business opportunities, and to ensure that the team is aligned with the company's goals and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new clients and retain existing clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams
  • Identify and execute on new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Upwork management team to ensure that the sales team is aligned with the company's goals and values
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports to the management team
  • Develop and deliver sales training programs to ensure that the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve their full potential

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Experience in the tech industry or with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product is a plus
  • Familiarity with Upwork or other freelance marketplaces is a plus
