We are looking for a bright and self-motivated individual who loves to code and is jazzed about developing an elegant solution that will ensure consistency and confidence, preferably a Big Data Engineer with knowledge and experience of big data systems to coordinate with our clients to assist them in execution of their big data projects and to establish them as data driven organizations where data architects and engineers can play a vital role by providing their services in designing and unlocking their data architecture. As an engineer/architect you will analyze client’s data strategies and build the data environments to enable them to accomplish their project objectives. You will also establish a data processing pipeline that might involve data ingestion and data storage. You will be using Data manipulation tools including Spark, Hive or Kafka. In coordination with Big Data Architects, you will also provide your recommendations on different solutions in design and integration, and related improvements on the architecture, which will assist in improve software, DB development and implementation.

• NoSQL technologies including Cassandra, HBase and MongoDB
• AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
• Hadoop ecosystem including but not limited to Cloudera, Hortonworks, Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive and Pig, among others.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing and building an architecture for a variety of data needs (transaction, analytics, and machine learning) across the solution. The AWS Big Data Cloud Architect will form relationships with senior stakeholders and drive a solution architecture delivery roadmap for multi-phase transformation projects. The architect will become the trusted solution architecture advisor to the technology and business leaders. This is a principle technical leadership role in the architecture organization responsible for developing technology roadmaps and plans for key business strategies supporting the key clients of ZTechwites, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manipulate object-relational databases, multidimensional databases, and big data systems
• Create and build an architecture for a variety of data needs (transaction, analytics, and machine learning)
• Provide domain expertise on various databases and big data technologies
• Sparse through and communicate the pros & cons of the cloud and on-prem database and big data technologies
• Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database
• Build migration strategy to move data between the cloud and physical infrastructure
• Create Terraform / Docker containers, to build EC2 / AMI
• Design the High-Availability / Disaster recovery strategies in the Cloud
• Manage data security in terms of "Data at Rest Vs "Data in Transit, along with PCI compliance
• Presents solutions to leadership, management, architects and developers.
• Works with Cross-functional team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture.
• Decompose business charters and strategies into well-defined architecture guidance for software development and infrastructure teams
• Creation of architecture artifacts including business context diagrams, conceptual, logical, security, and physical architectures. Data flow diagrams and entity relationships.
• Work with IT and business units to create investable and executable technical roadmaps
• Work with business stakeholders and gain support for critical technology investment decisions
• Act as a key advisor to senior IT and business leadership
• Scope and size technology investments
• Evaluate technologies, vendor solutions and applications
• Evangelize architecture best practices across JPMC in support of the firm-wide technology strategies
• Manage the application portfolio lifecycle, and champion IT assets that can be leveraged across lines of business
• Work across LOBs with other architects for solution alignment

Educational and Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BSCS) or related technical field is desired. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• At least 1 to 6 years of practical experience
