Linux Server Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining and enhancing our web infrastructure, our application and database servers, running Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. The right candidate will ensure high availability of our websites through load balancing, database management, building fail-over mechanisms, and optimization of services.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain application and database servers
Ensure high availability of websites
Work in coordination with web developers to ensure smooth deployments
Ensure automatic fail-over; load balance both application and database servers
Diagnose and fix configuration, deployment, web server and database issues
Real-time monitoring of configurations, databases and production systems
Refine and enhance the systems as the need arises

مہارتیں

* Must feel at home in Linux (shell) environment
* Knowledge of administration and optimization of Apache and MySQL
* Knowledge of database (MySQL) management is highly desired
* Ability to use diagnostic tools such as Trace route, ping, dig, etc
* Good communication skills
* Experience in any of these: Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef is a plus
* Knowledge of Bash or Perl scripting is a plus
* Knowledge of PHP is a plus
