• Automating terminal operations and improving reporting procedures and yard
planning.

• Keeping a check on daily import arrival and make sure that KPI’s are being
achieved.

• To coordinate with transporter for timely vehicle arrangement for daily import
arrival.

• Control and manage Custom Bonded warehouse and oversee daily operations.

• Identify and solve problems that hinders terminal operations.

• Improvise and streamline warehouse operation so that there is no delay in
Stacking of cargo in location and arranging cargo for examination and
deliveries.

• Make and implement SOP’S and make sure all staff are up to date and follow it.

• Manage and monitor maintenance of storage and holding areas to ensure
cargo is secure and properly identified.

• Trained and developed staff to ensure they are utilizing the most efficient
methods and system application provided.

• To provide guidance to subordinates for performance of duties and functions
assigned to them and ensure compliance with policies and procedure.

• Manage operations structure of inbound and outbound cargo i.e. dispatch,
store-keeping/warehousing.

• Dealing with customer\'s complaint and suggesting the best possible solutions.

• Strategically plan grounding of containers according to the type of import
items i.e. CY (FCL) and CFS (LCL) containers.

• Identify and segregated dead & slow-moving stocks for proper reporting on
quarterly basis.

• Maintain proper segregation & bifurcation of the handling/disposal of rejected
material inventory according to custom Law.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•To develop and to maintain the SOPs for reverse logistics and inventory management for optimal utilization of resource and infrastructure.
• To Manage inbound inventory efficiently to facilitate outbound team’s ability to attain the business KPI’s.
• To integrate seamlessly with the outbound logistic department for achieving On-Time In-Full compliance on delivery of goods/orders to the courier agent.
• To maintain adequate inventory level of fast moving items and to coordinate with the inbound team to ensure that the inventory has fulfilled all the pre-requisite documentation process.
• To analyse the demand and supply curve of inventory in order to make contingency plan for obsolete or slow moving items in the inventory.
• To determine cost-effective source of supplies and to negotiate with the vendors to supply the goods as per the need of the business to enhance business productivity.
• To develop weekly / monthly /quarterly reports on the detailed activities and the improvement plans of the inventory management function (inbound, outbound, warehouse operation).

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To coordinate with reverse logistics team on the number of items bound to be returned to the vendor based on the significance (cross dock / market place, consignment) of the item.
• To coordinate with the marketing department for accurate communication on the website regarding the available stocks.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Achieved the target of returning 25,000 goods to the vendors in the defined timelines.
• Monitored cycle count of more than 200,000 items and completed it within a month before black Friday event.
• Developed the infrastructure of the complete warehouse and inventory management processes which resulted in better efficiency in logistic operations.
