We are seeking a talented 2D Character Artist to join our creative team at our Gulistan-e-Johar, Block 12, Karachi office. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for an artist passionate about bringing characters to life through original designs and digital illustrations. The successful candidate will work closely with designers and animators to develop compelling characters that align with project concepts and creative briefs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original 2D character designs and illustrations from scratch.
- Develop characters based on concepts, references, and detailed creative briefs.
- Design a variety of poses, facial expressions, outfits, and character variations to enhance storytelling.
- Ensure consistency in character style, proportions, and overall visual quality throughout the project.
- Prepare artwork optimized for digital platforms and animation workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, animators, and other members of the creative team to achieve project goals.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions while maintaining the intended artistic direction and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a 2D Character Artist or 2D Illustrator with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills.
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, proportions, poses, and facial expressions to create believable characters.
- Excellent drawing and digital illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Hands-on experience using a graphics tablet or iPad for digital artwork creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Illustrator, or similar digital illustration software.
- Strong sense of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines consistently.
Compensation and Work Environment
The position offers a starting salary from Rs60,000 per month. This role requires working on-site at our Karachi office, fostering close collaboration within the creative team and ensuring smooth communication throughout the production process.
