3D CAD Designer (Part-Time, Remote)

We are seeking a skilled 3D CAD designer to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D CAD models featuring organic shapes and complex surfaces, transforming initial product concepts into production-ready files. This position is paid hourly and offers the flexibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and model new products from initial concept through to manufacturing-ready CAD files.
- Develop organic shapes, complex surfaces, textures, and ergonomic geometries.
- Create fully editable parametric models with clean and organized design history.
- Prepare production-ready STEP files that include accurate solid and surface geometry.
- Design with consideration for manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, CNC milling, and machining.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in 3D CAD and industrial product design.
- Strong expertise in parametric CAD, including feature-based design, assemblies, and editable solids and surfaces.
- Advanced skills in surface and organic modeling.
- Practical knowledge of design for manufacturing, particularly laser cutting and CNC machining.
- Proven experience in taking consumer products from concept through to production.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience designing hand tools or metal consumer products is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or CATIA software.
- Familiarity with prototyping, material selection, and production optimization.
