We are seeking a dedicated recruiter with specialized experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to enhance the client’s talent acquisition efforts for Behavior Technician (BT) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) roles. The ideal candidate will focus on increasing candidate flow through existing and new sourcing channels, applying ABA-specific recruiting strategies, and supporting a mix of online and in-person hiring initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the ABA recruiting landscape and the ability to work autonomously within the client’s framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase the number of BT and RBT candidates entering the client’s hiring funnel.
- Utilize the client’s current recruiting channels, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn, as the primary sourcing platforms.
- Develop new candidate pipelines and sourcing channels as autonomy is granted by the client.
- Identify local recruiting opportunities aligned with the client’s caseload and geographic needs.
- Support the client’s full recruiting mix, which includes both in-person hiring events and online advertising campaigns.
- Apply ABA-specific recruiting strategies, including knowledge of effective platforms, advertising methods, and funnel structuring.
- Note: Internal management of the existing candidate pipeline remains the responsibility of the client’s in-house recruiting team and is outside the scope of this role.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ABA recruiting experience is mandatory, specifically recruiting for technician-level roles within the ABA vertical.
- Background in agency recruiting, preferably with experience recruiting virtually for ABA agencies or organizations in metropolitan markets.
- Strong strategic knowledge of ABA recruiting, including the ability to articulate previous advertising strategies, platform usage, funnel design, and lessons learned.
- Hands-on experience with high-volume hiring platforms such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn.
- Comprehensive understanding of ABA role titles, including BT, RBT, behavior therapist, and registered behavior therapist, recognizing that these terms are often used interchangeably.
- Awareness of the high turnover rates at the technician level and how this impacts sourcing volume and recruitment strategies.
- Availability to work 45 hours per week, typically 9 hours per day, aligned with the client’s required schedule.
Experience Target
- Depth of ABA recruiting experience is prioritized over total years in recruiting.
- The client considers 2 to 3 years of focused ABA recruiting experience acceptable and often more relevant than longer general healthcare recruiting backgrounds.
- Ideal candidates have 10+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3 to 4 years dedicated to ABA.
- Strong candidates may also have 3 to 4 years total recruiting experience, with 2 to 3 years specifically in ABA.
- Candidates with healthcare recruiting experience but no ABA background are not a fit for this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Exposure to ABA hiring beyond technician roles, such as program managers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), is a plus.
- Experience coordinating or promoting in-person hiring events is highly valued.
- Success in this role will be measured by a clear and measurable increase in candidate lead flow at the top of the funnel for BT and RBT positions, achieved through both existing channels and newly developed sourcing methods.
This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the client’s recruitment efforts by leveraging specialized ABA recruiting expertise and strategic sourcing skills.
