We are seeking a dedicated recruiter with specialized experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to enhance the hiring funnel for Behavior Technicians (BT) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). The ideal candidate will leverage existing recruitment platforms and develop new sourcing channels to meet the client’s staffing needs. This role focuses on strategic candidate sourcing and pipeline development within the ABA vertical, supporting both online and in-person recruitment efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Increase the volume of qualified BT and RBT candidates entering the client’s hiring funnel by effectively utilizing current recruitment channels such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn. Initially, focus on optimizing these existing platforms before expanding into new sourcing pipelines as autonomy is granted by the client. Identify local recruiting opportunities aligned with the client’s caseload to ensure targeted candidate outreach.
Support the client’s comprehensive recruiting strategy, which includes managing in-person hiring events alongside online advertising campaigns. Apply ABA-specific recruiting strategies by understanding which platforms yield the best results, how to advertise effectively within this niche, and how to structure the recruitment funnel to maximize candidate flow. Note that internal management of the existing candidate pipeline remains the responsibility of the client’s in-house recruiting team and is outside the scope of this role.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience recruiting within the ABA field is essential. Candidates must have a proven track record recruiting technician-level roles such as BTs and RBTs. A background in agency recruiting, preferably with virtual experience in metropolitan markets, is highly desirable.
Candidates should possess a clear understanding of ABA recruiting strategies, including the platforms used, advertising methods, funnel structure, and lessons learned from previous roles. Hands-on experience with Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and LinkedIn in the context of high-volume hiring is required.
In-depth knowledge of ABA roles and terminology is necessary, including familiarity with titles like Behavior Technician, Registered Behavior Technician, and behavior therapist, which are often used interchangeably by agencies. Awareness of the high turnover rates typical at the technician level and its impact on sourcing volume is also critical.
Availability to work 45 hours per week, typically 9 hours per day during the client’s specified hours, is required.
Experience Target
The client prioritizes depth of ABA recruiting experience over total years in recruiting. Ideally, candidates will have 10+ years of recruiting experience with at least 3 to 4 years focused exclusively on ABA roles. Candidates with 3 to 4 years of total recruiting experience, including 2 to 3 years dedicated to ABA recruiting, are also considered strong fits.
Candidates with healthcare recruiting experience but no ABA-specific background will not be considered a fit for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience recruiting for other ABA roles beyond technician levels, such as program managers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), is advantageous. Additionally, experience coordinating or promoting in-person hiring events is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will be demonstrated by a measurable increase in candidate lead flow at the top of the funnel for BT and RBT positions. This growth should be achieved through both the client’s existing recruitment channels and newly developed sourcing strategies.
