Academic Consultant | Master's & PhD (English Linguistic/English Education)

Proofreading By A UK PhD, an academic consulting firm based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, is dedicated to supporting postgraduate researchers worldwide. We are currently looking for an experienced Academic Consultant to provide personalized research mentorship, manuscript refinement, and publication guidance to postgraduate students. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance the quality of their academic work and successfully navigate the publication process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert consultation and academic supervision to postgraduate students, ensuring clarity and rigor in their research projects.
- Critically review, edit, and refine all five chapters of postgraduate dissertations and theses to meet high academic standards.
- Guide clients through the development of research proposals, study designs, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
- Manage the complete publication pipeline for journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS), ensuring compliance with journal requirements.
- Maintain rigorous standards for academic writing conventions, including citation styles such as APA, Vancouver, and Harvard, tailored to target journal guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
- A Master’s or PhD degree in English Linguistics, English Education, or a closely related field.
- Proven publication record as the first author of at least one article indexed in Scopus or Web of Science (WoS).
- High-level mastery of formal academic English and familiarity with international peer-review submission protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
- First-author publications in Q1 or Q2 high-impact journals are highly advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis tools such as IBM SPSS, SmartPLS, or AMOS.
- Experience with qualitative research methodologies and software like NVivo, ATLAS.ti, or thematic coding.
- Working knowledge of programming or computational tools, including Python, R, or Deep Learning frameworks.
