We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive with strong expertise in US accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess practical knowledge of US accounting systems and standards, enabling them to manage daily accounting operations with accuracy and efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience in bookkeeping, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The candidate should be comfortable working within US-based business frameworks and collaborating with internal teams and external accountants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations related to US-based business activities.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger records.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare bank, ledger, and account reconciliations regularly.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports along with supporting schedules.
- Maintain and review Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
- Monitor expenses, invoices, and payment records to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain comprehensive financial documentation and reporting files.
- Support US tax documentation, compliance efforts, and audit preparation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external accountants as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial records and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with US-based operations.
- Strong understanding of US accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Practical knowledge of US accounting systems, compliance requirements, and reporting workflows.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience providing audit support.
- Good command of QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA Inter, BBA, or MBA in Finance are preferred.
- Experience working specifically with US-based companies is highly desirable.
- Competitive salary range of PKR 70,000 to 80,000 per month, commensurate with experience and expertise.
- Full-time, on-site position based in Karachi.
