Quantum Leap Billing (QLBilling), a leading provider of medical billing and revenue cycle management services to healthcare providers across the United States, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team in Islamabad. This full-time, on-site position requires working U.S. business hours during the night shift in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in U.S. medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management and will play a vital role in supporting the company’s U.S. healthcare clients by managing outstanding medical claims and ensuring timely collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable follow-ups for outstanding medical claims.
- Contact insurance companies to verify claim status and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims.
- Investigate claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit appeals, reconsiderations, and corrected claims as necessary.
- Follow up with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers.
- Analyze AR aging reports and prioritize claims based on outstanding balances and aging categories.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), and remittance advice to identify payment issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of payer communications and claim follow-ups.
- Identify recurring denial trends and recommend solutions to improve collections.
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and collection targets while adhering to HIPAA compliance guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in U.S. medical billing, AR follow-up, or revenue cycle management.
- Solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare insurance system and medical billing processes.
- Experience with claim status follow-up, denial management, and appeals.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers.
- Knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, AR aging reports, and insurance portals.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment.
- Willingness to work night shifts aligned with U.S. business hours.
