Accountant / Assistant Accountant

FAJ IT Solutions, part of the rapidly expanding FAJ Group of companies, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its finance team. Based in Islamabad, Pakistan, with headquarters in Dubai, UAE, the company specializes in e-commerce, IT solutions, and technical services. This role is vital in supporting the company’s growth as a fintech leader by ensuring accurate financial data management and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Excel, auditing, multi-currency transactions, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and accuracy in reporting.
- Manage multi-currency transactions, ensuring correct accounting treatment for foreign exchange and global operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts, offering insights and recommendations to aid strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement pricing models for products and services, analyzing cost structures and profitability.
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Perform variance analysis to explain differences between forecasted and actual results and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist in preparing tax returns and regulatory filings.
- Maintain accounting records for multiple entities within the organization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing, including at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and other functions.
- Strong background in auditing and accounting for multi-currency transactions.
- Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience with pricing strategies and cost analysis.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with senior management and external auditors.
- Experience in the banking or fintech industry is considered a plus.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not mandatory, experience in fintech or banking sectors will be highly regarded. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs60,000. The role requires in-person attendance at the office located on the 3rd Floor, HB Tower, Gulberg Greens Executive Block, Islamabad.
