We are looking for a skilled Accountant with solid knowledge of accounting principles and practical experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll, and U.S. tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, capable of managing multiple accounting tasks independently. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with management, vendors, employees, and external accounting professionals. Flexibility to assist with tasks beyond core accounting duties is also required.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, classify, and maintain accurate financial transactions, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, chart of accounts, and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions monthly, resolving discrepancies and monitoring cash flow.
- Process vendor invoices and payments, prepare customer invoices, monitor outstanding receivables, and resolve billing issues.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial reports such as Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow reports, and General Ledger reports.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, maintain payroll records, assist with payroll tax filings, and ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations.
- Support tax compliance by organizing financial records for CPAs, assisting with federal and state tax preparation, preparing 1099s, maintaining W-9s, and supporting sales/use tax reporting.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer information, communicate regarding invoices and payments, and assist with account reconciliations.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and prepare customized financial reports.
- Support audits, financial reviews, and other administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and U.S. accounting practices, including familiarity with U.S. GAAP.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with management, vendors, employees, and external professionals.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of professional accounting experience, specifically with U.S.-based companies and accounting standards.
- Experience with U.S. federal and state payroll and tax requirements.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Shift timing: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs50,000.
