Hajra Textiles, a prominent textile manufacturing company based in Karachi, is looking to hire an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This full-time position is located at the company’s facilities in the Korangi Industrial Area and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including general ledger entries and bookkeeping to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor and bank reconciliations to maintain clear and organized financial records.
- Track manufacturing cost structures related to yarn, fabric, or garments, and assist with inventory valuation to support cost control and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations by preparing and submitting timely tax filings to authorities such as FBR and SRB.
- Handle payroll processing efficiently and coordinate with external auditors during financial audits to maintain transparency and adherence to statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or textile industry setting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems or computerized accounting software to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.
