Accountant

A well-established USA-based retail group specializing in the operation and management of gas stations and convenience stores is seeking an experienced Accounts Executive for its back office in Karachi. The company manages multiple stations under prominent brands such as BP, Shell, and Mobil. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with both local and US-based teams to support the financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Perform reconciliations of sales, credit card transactions, and cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify and resolve any discrepancies that arise during the reconciliation process promptly. Manage all accounting transactions and prepare detailed reports to support financial transparency. Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, including colleagues based in the United States, to ensure smooth financial operations. Provide assistance to senior management with various accounting and administrative tasks as required. Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring deadlines are met and records are accurate.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within a US-based firm or dealing with US financial standards. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks Online (QBO) is mandatory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across teams. Candidates must have their own conveyance for commuting. The preferred age range for applicants is between 28 to 35 years.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This is a full-time position based in Karachi, specifically at Al Khaleej Tower, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Bhadurabad. The role requires working night shifts aligned with US time zones, from 6 PM to 3 AM PST, to facilitate real-time coordination with the US team. The monthly salary range for this position is between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 100,000. Work is to be performed on-site at the specified location, offering a stable work environment.
