Enum is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting operations, prepare accurate financial statements, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support both internal and external audits. This role requires a proactive individual who can maintain financial integrity and contribute to the company’s financial planning and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management decisions.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and withholding tax.
- Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation to maintain compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Location:
This position is based in Karachi, near Dolmen Mall on Tariq Road.
Shift Timings:
The working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.
Job Type:
Full-time, with an in-person work arrangement.
