Accountant

Bina Sohail Design Studio, based in SITE, Karachi, is seeking a full-time, on-site Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing daily accounting tasks while supporting our furniture and homeware business operations. This role requires someone who can handle financial records accurately and work closely with various departments to ensure smooth financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, and expenses accurately.
- Manage supplier payments, customer receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash, petty cash, and POS transactions regularly.
- Maintain inventory records and coordinate stock reconciliation with store and production teams.
- Track product costs, production expenses, and profit margins to support financial analysis.
- Prepare payroll and generate monthly financial reports.
- Maintain tax documentation and liaise with the company’s tax consultant to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with QuickBooks is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience of at least one year in accounting is preferred.
- English language proficiency is preferred to facilitate communication and reporting.
- The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs40,000 to Rs70,000.
- Candidates should be able to reliably commute to Karachi or be willing to relocate before starting work.
