Accountant

BH SMITH is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the company’s financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting taxation and compliance activities. This position requires practical accounting experience, proficiency in MS Excel, and familiarity with accounting software to effectively contribute to the organization’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly and maintain precise financial records.
- Handle taxation-related tasks, supporting compliance with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) regulations.
- Prepare financial reports and statements to assist management in decision-making.
- Process payroll accurately and maintain comprehensive payroll records.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or a related field such as Accounting & Finance (BS).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting roles.
- Strong command of MS Excel, including the ability to manage complex spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems to streamline financial operations.
- Basic understanding of tax laws applicable under FBR and PRA.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.

Location and Work Environment
This is an on-site position based at G1, Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan. Candidates must be able to work from this location and collaborate closely with the finance team and other departments.

Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary starting from Rs 60,000.
