Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients. The position is full-time and based on-site.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions by entering account details accurately.
- Recommend financial actions through thorough analysis of accounting options.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting data and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Guide and coordinate accounting clerical staff, providing support and answering queries.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Secure financial information by performing regular database backups.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain accurate records.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present findings clearly.
- Analyze financial data and summarize the overall financial status.
- Provide technical support and advice on financial management matters.
- Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.
- Participate in setting financial standards and forecasting processes.
- Contribute to departmental goal setting and planning.
- Prepare financial statements and budgets according to established schedules.
- Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting staff.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Communicate effectively with clients to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Collaborate with Managers and Directors to report work status and resolve client issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
- Awareness of current business trends affecting finance and accounting.
- Experience in preparing financial statements.
- Proficiency with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Strong skills in accounting software usage and administration.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis.
- Master’s Degree, M.Com, or MBA in Finance and Accounts.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a finance department.
- Experience with accounting software is advantageous.

- Salary Range: Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 per month
