The Accountant Officer will manage daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing vouchers, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with monthly and annual closing processes. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring receivables and payables, and supporting budgeting and cost tracking activities. The Accountant Officer will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards, as well as support internal and external audits. This full-time, on-site position is based in Karachi and requires regular interaction with operations and management teams to provide accurate financial data and facilitate informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including recording transactions, preparing vouchers, and maintaining ledgers.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile accounts and monitor receivables and payables to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Support budgeting processes and track costs to ensure financial discipline.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and assist during internal and external audits.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information to support operational and management decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, including general ledger management and financial planning.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and digital tools for data entry, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Well-developed analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend improvements.
- Attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude with the ability to work accurately under deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on-site in Karachi.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
