The Accountant Officer will play a vital role in managing daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing vouchers, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with monthly and annual financial closings. The position requires preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, reconciling accounts, monitoring receivables and payables, and supporting budgeting and cost tracking activities. The Accountant Officer will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, as well as to facilitate internal and external audits. This full-time, on-site role is based in Karachi and involves regular interaction with operations and management to provide accurate financial data that supports informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including recording transactions, preparing vouchers, and maintaining ledgers.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile accounts and monitor receivables and payables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in budgeting processes and track costs to support financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and support audit activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and management, to provide accurate financial information.
- Utilize accounting software and digital tools for data entry, reporting, and reconciliations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in finance and accounting principles, including general ledger management.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and digital financial tools.
- Well-developed analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify variances.
- Attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment on-site in Karachi.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information:
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA, or CMA are considered an advantage.
- Experience working in industrial, equipment, or service-based organizations is a plus.
