ACE CPAs specializes in providing accrual-based GAAP accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting services to US-based businesses. Our services extend beyond basic bookkeeping to include structured balance sheet reconciliations, GAAP-level adjustments, reporting-ready financial statements, and occasional technical accounting such as acquisition-related accounting. We are currently seeking an Accounting Quality Controller to serve as an internal audit-style reviewer for client accounting files. This role ensures that all workpapers, reconciliations, and financial reporting outputs meet ACE CPAs’ quality standards before final submission to clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation files to confirm all accounts are properly supported and reconcile with the Trial Balance and General Ledger.
- Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of supporting schedules, including cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable tie-outs, accruals, prepaids, payroll liabilities, fixed assets, loans, and equity.
- Examine GAAP-level adjustments such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and cleanup entries.
- Identify misstatements, classification errors, inconsistencies, missing documentation, and unusual fluctuations.
- Provide clear, structured review notes and communicate necessary corrections back to preparers.
- Ensure consistency in formatting, presentation, and documentation standards across all client files.
- Maintain quality control checklists, track recurring issues, and recommend process improvements to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to templates and internal controls.

Required Qualifications
- ACCA, CA, CMA qualified or at least a finalist in one of these professional qualifications.
- Strong background in audit, assurance, or financial reporting roles.
- Deep understanding of accrual accounting, financial statements, and corporate reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, multi-tab workbooks, and reconciliation structures.
- Excellent written and spoken English, capable of producing professional review notes and communicating clearly with internal teams and clients.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review work efficiently yet thoroughly.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online with hands-on experience in advanced usage and troubleshooting.

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with a specialized team providing high-quality accounting services to US clients, enhancing your expertise in financial reporting and internal quality control processes. The position requires a candidate with a strong audit mindset and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
