Accounting Software Trainer

Strats Academy is looking for an experienced Accounting Software Trainer to provide practical, career-oriented training in popular accounting and financial management software. This freelance, remote role involves teaching students essential bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting skills using widely-used tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with these platforms and the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts for learners, helping them gain real-world skills applicable to finance roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction on accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other relevant tools.
- Train students in bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Teach practical skills like invoice creation, expense tracking, payroll basics, and recording financial transactions.
- Guide students in preparing financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Provide lessons on Microsoft Excel tailored to accounting functions, financial calculations, and reporting needs.
- Explain fundamental accounting principles and demonstrate their application through software tools.
- Develop and assign hands-on exercises, practical assignments, and real-world business scenarios to reinforce learning.
- Support students in building skills relevant to accounting, bookkeeping, and remote finance positions.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Practical experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially accounting-related spreadsheet functions.
- Prior experience as an Accounting Software Trainer, Accountant, or Bookkeeper is preferred.
- Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
- Ability to clearly explain and simplify accounting concepts for learners.
