Accounts Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting transactions, invoicing, payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to support smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle daily accounting transactions, including invoicing and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform thorough verification, reconciliation, and negotiation of Statements of Account (SOA) with agents.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including regular reconciliations.
- Verify shipping-related bills, expenses, and all supporting documentation to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly closing activities to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Coordinate closely with operations and commercial teams to facilitate billing and collections processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance), Accounts and Finance, or equivalent qualifications such as ACCA (Part Qualified).
- Relevant experience of 2 to 4 years within the shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
- Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external agents.
