Accounts Manager

Zaka Brothers Pvt. Ltd. is a well-established retail and online chain offering a wide range of products on cash and installment plans, including mobiles, electronics, and two- and three-wheelers. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our Head Office team based in Lahore. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, payroll processing, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and review the monthly payroll cycle, ensuring accurate salary calculations, compliance with all statutory deductions, and timely payment to employees.
- Manage and reconcile daily sales and stock data within the accounting system to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform monthly General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations against supporting documents to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded, balanced, and audit-ready.
- Record all financial transactions, maintain journal entries, and ensure proper documentation is kept for audit purposes.
- Maintain vendor financial ledgers accurately and process timely payments to suppliers.
- Oversee and verify daily bank transactions, updating relevant accounts accordingly.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to confirm the accuracy of financial records.
- Organize and maintain financial documentation to support audit readiness and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Coordinate with banks to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to banking transactions.
- Ensure strict compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within accounting operations.

Required Qualifications
- M.Com, MBA in Accounting & Finance, ACCA, or CA Inter qualification.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in accounting, payroll processing, and finance operations, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably within consumer sales accounts management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and accounting best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Pakistani corporate tax regulations, including practical experience managing withholding taxes, tax deductions at source, and local corporate filings.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information.
