We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to support our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate ledgers, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role involves working closely with the finance team to monitor accounts payable and receivable, manage project budgets, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The position requires proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain and update general ledgers to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile vendor, customer, and advance general ledger accounts.
- Process vendor invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely payments in line with company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses.
- Track project expenses against budgets and report any variances to the finance team.
- Support cash flow management for ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns and filings.
- Monitor tax payments and ensure timely submission of required documentation to authorities.
- Provide necessary financial documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all financial activities and transactions.
- Utilize financial software and ERP systems to process and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with senior finance team members to supply financial data for decision-making.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Good knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
