We are seeking an experienced Agent 365 & AI Engineer with 4 to 8+ years of expertise in Microsoft cloud, automation, and AI engineering. This freelance, contractual role requires a commitment of 70-100% bandwidth over a six-month period, with mostly remote working arrangements. The successful candidate will play a critical hands-on role in implementing Agent 365 solutions, covering agent registration, identity and access management, integrations, governance controls, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Microsoft AI agent technologies within the Agent 365 framework.
- Oversee agent governance and lifecycle management to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Work extensively with the Microsoft 365 Copilot ecosystem, including Copilot Studio or related agent technologies.
- Handle agent identity, authentication, and integration with Microsoft Entra.
- Develop and maintain connectors, plugins, and REST API integrations to support seamless data-source connectivity.
- Apply OAuth protocols, delegated and application permissions, and enforce least privilege principles.
- Manage tools, actions, and action authorization processes, incorporating human-in-the-loop and approval controls where necessary.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 data sources, ensuring robust logging and monitoring practices are in place.
- Address AI security concerns such as prompt-injection risks, sensitive data exposure, and detection of shadow or unapproved agents.
- Conduct thorough agent testing, production deployment, and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 8+ years of professional experience in Microsoft cloud environments, automation, and AI engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, agent technologies, or Power Platform integration.
- Proven ability to secure identities, APIs, connectors, and data access within complex environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft agent-governance technologies and recent exposure to their practical applications.
- Demonstrated capability to configure and troubleshoot systems beyond architectural design, ensuring operational effectiveness.
