Agentic AI Developer

EZ MD Solutions is a US-based healthcare services company focused on Virtual Medical Assistant, Medical Scribing, Medical Billing, and Revenue Cycle Management for physician practices nationwide. We are looking for an Agentic AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI-driven agents specifically for healthcare applications. This role involves creating voice agents, automating routine tasks, and optimizing billing workflows to improve operational efficiency in healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy AI agents with capabilities such as tool calling, memory retention, and smooth human handoff. Build AI voice agents integrating speech-to-text, large language models (LLMs), text-to-speech, and call routing features. Construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using business documents and knowledge bases. Select, prompt, and fine-tune LLMs for diverse healthcare business scenarios. Automate healthcare processes including appointment scheduling, prescription refills, prior authorization, insurance verification, and claims follow-up. Personalize agent responses based on user history, language preferences, and communication channels. Integrate AI agents with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other healthcare systems using HL7, FHIR, and REST APIs. Implement data privacy guardrails to protect Protected Health Information (PHI) and establish evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI agents. Senior-level candidates will take ownership of system architecture, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js, with experience in FastAPI. Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, including function and tool calling capabilities. Familiarity with agent frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or OpenAI Agents SDK. Expertise in RAG techniques including embeddings, chunking, and vector databases. Skilled in prompt engineering and evaluating LLM outputs. Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth2, and task queues such as Redis and Celery. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Practical experience with tools including LangGraph, Vapi or Retell with Twilio, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, pgvector, Langfuse, Presidio, n8n, Mirth Connect, HAPI FHIR, and HIPAA-compliant model hosting services. Familiarity with healthcare integration standards (HL7 v2, FHIR, X12) and middleware platforms like Mirth Connect and Rhapsody. Understanding of medical billing and claims systems such as Availity, Stedi, Waystar, and Change Healthcare. Experience with medical NLP tools including AWS Comprehend Medical, scispaCy, MedSpaCy, and John Snow Labs. Knowledge of privacy and guardrail technologies like Microsoft Presidio, Philter, NeMo Guardrails, and HashiCorp Vault. Competence in evaluation and monitoring tools such as Langfuse, LangSmith, Arize Phoenix, and Promptfoo. Automation and RPA experience with platforms like n8n, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, and UiPath. Backend and DevOps skills covering Python, FastAPI, Node.js, Redis, Celery, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and cloud services.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Healthcare IT knowledge including HIPAA compliance, HL7, FHIR, and EHR integration is highly desirable. Medical billing expertise covering claims processing, eligibility verification, and denial management is a plus. Experience in fine-tuning large language models and prior development of voice agents is preferred. Mid-level candidates with 3–4 years of experience should be capable of independently building agents, RAG pipelines, and integrations. Senior candidates with 5+ years are expected to lead architectural decisions, fine-tuning strategies, and provide mentorship. The position offers a competitive monthly salary range from PKR 150,000 to PKR 300,000. The role requires in-person work at our Rawalpindi Satellite Town office, with reliable commuting or relocation arrangements needed before joining.

Candidates will be evaluated on their professional software development experience, AI agent deployment involving tool/function calling and RAG, voice agent or EHR integration projects, and portfolio or GitHub links demonstrating AI agent work.
