Agentic AI Developer

EZ MD Solutions is a US-focused healthcare services company specializing in Virtual Medical Assistant, Medical Scribing, Medical Billing, and Revenue Cycle Management services for physician practices across the United States. We are currently seeking an Agentic AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI agents tailored for healthcare applications. This role involves developing voice agents, automating tasks, and streamlining billing workflows to enhance operational efficiency within healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents featuring tool calling, memory capabilities, and seamless human handoff.
- Create AI voice agents incorporating speech-to-text, large language models (LLMs), text-to-speech, and call routing functionalities.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using business documents and knowledge bases.
- Select, prompt, and fine-tune LLMs to meet specific business use cases.
- Automate healthcare processes such as appointment scheduling, prescription refills, prior authorizations, insurance verification, and claims follow-up.
- Personalize agent responses based on user history, language preferences, and communication channels.
- Integrate AI agents with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other systems using HL7, FHIR, and REST APIs.
- Implement data privacy guardrails for protected health information (PHI) and establish evaluation and monitoring frameworks for AI agents.
- For senior-level candidates: lead architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js, with experience in FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, including function/tool calling.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Expertise in RAG techniques including embeddings, chunking, and vector databases.
- Strong skills in prompt engineering and evaluating LLM outputs.
- Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth2, and queue systems such as Redis and Celery.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Docker, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in healthcare IT standards including HIPAA compliance, HL7, FHIR, and EHR system integration.
- Understanding of medical billing processes such as claims, eligibility, and denials.
- Prior experience with LLM fine-tuning and voice agent development.
- Familiarity with a broad range of tools and technologies including LangGraph, Twilio, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, pgvector, Langfuse, Presidio, n8n, Mirth Connect, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and others relevant to healthcare AI and integration.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific integrations (HL7 v2, FHIR, X12 transactions), billing platforms (Availity, Waystar), medical NLP tools (AWS Comprehend Medical, MedSpaCy), and privacy guardrails (Microsoft Presidio, HashiCorp Vault).
- Experience with automation and RPA tools such as n8n, Zapier, Power Automate, and UiPath.
- Backend and DevOps skills including Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure management.

Level and Compensation
- Mid-Level (3 to 4 years): Independently builds AI agents, RAG pipelines, and integrations.
- Senior Level (5+ years): Leads architecture, fine-tuning strategies, and mentors team members.
- Monthly salary range: PKR 150,000 to 300,000.

Additional Information
This position requires reliable commuting or relocation to Rawalpindi Satellite Town prior to starting work. The role is based on-site to facilitate close collaboration with the team.
