AI-Assisted Full Stack Developer

This senior engineering role is uniquely focused on shaping architecture, translating business goals into actionable specifications, and overseeing AI-generated code rather than traditional coding tasks. You will guide an AI agent by providing clear instructions and rigorously reviewing its output to ensure quality and correctness. The position requires strong judgment and skepticism, as the AI can produce plausible but flawed code. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining architectural integrity, verifying behavior, and integrating complex enterprise systems like Salesforce and NetSuite. This role suits experienced engineers, tech leads, or solution architects who thrive on design, review, and strategic oversight rather than ticket-driven development.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into architecture by collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, identifying ambiguities, and creating data models, workflows, and implementation plans. Challenge unclear or impractical requests.
- Own and evolve the system architecture, including data models, module boundaries, API design, authorization schemes, and integration patterns. Maintain documentation and system coherence.
- Direct the AI agent by assigning well-defined tasks, providing context and acceptance criteria, and conducting thorough code reviews with a critical eye.
- Manage integration with core systems of record such as Salesforce and NetSuite. Handle authentication, API strategies, data ownership, synchronization, error reconciliation, and resilience to upstream system issues.
- Develop front-end applications tailored to business workflows over ERP/CRM data, deciding on live vs. cached data, write permissions, and enforcing consistent authorization models aligned with source systems.
- Conduct fast, detailed reviews to catch subtle bugs, permission gaps, over-engineering, and assumptions based solely on code correctness.
- Verify actual application behavior through real-world testing rather than relying solely on code correctness or automated checks.
- Determine appropriate use cases for AI-generated code, preserving deterministic and irreversible processes as plain, testable code with human oversight.
- Take ownership of critical areas where AI falls short, including deployment accuracy, security, authorization, data consistency, and enforcing correctness.
- Establish missing infrastructure such as a robust automated testing strategy.

Required Qualifications

- Strong full-stack expertise with the ability to critically review both frontend and backend code. Emphasis on identifying issues and understanding best practices rather than rapid coding.
- Proficiency in modern frontend development, including component-based frameworks, hooks, routing, design systems, and CSS for theming.
- Backend service development experience covering API design, service boundaries, and state management, with sound architectural judgment.
- Skilled in relational data modeling and SQL, including schema design, migrations, parameterized queries, and handling data synchronization challenges.
- Experience with API and integration design, including REST, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, webhooks, polling, idempotency, and correlation.
- Practical knowledge of ERP/CRM integrations, especially Salesforce and/or NetSuite, including API surfaces, authentication models, governor limits, sandbox environments, and permission models.
- Ability to design front-end workflows over external systems of record, managing data consistency, caching, partial failures, and unified user experiences.
- Expertise in authentication and authorization models enforced server-side, beyond UI-level permission hiding.
- Strong understanding of web application security best practices such as session hardening, input validation, rate limiting, least privilege, secrets management, and audit trails.
- Practical DevOps skills for deploying and operating services, including reverse proxies, TLS, DNS, service management, and backups.
- Good judgment on the appropriate use of large language models (LLMs) in production environments.
- Rigorous code review skills as a core competency.
