AI & Automation Intern

We are seeking a curious, technically skilled, and solution-driven AI & Automation Intern to develop and maintain AI-powered tools and automated workflows that enhance team productivity. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate across departments to understand daily processes, identify opportunities for automation, and build practical solutions using AI tools, automation platforms, APIs, and scripting. You will prototype, test, document, gather user feedback, and refine these solutions, ensuring they meet real business needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable learning independently, experimenting with new technologies, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify automation opportunities by working with Design, Development, Marketing, and HR/Admin teams to pinpoint repetitive or error-prone tasks suitable for AI or automation improvements.
- Build automated workflows that connect applications, process data, trigger actions, and reduce manual effort.
- Implement AI-powered solutions using large language models for tasks like information extraction, content classification, summarization, drafting, data processing, and knowledge retrieval.
- Utilize automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar tools to design, build, and test workflows, selecting the best fit for each use case.
- Integrate APIs, webhooks, and structured data formats to enable seamless communication between systems, handling errors appropriately.
- Support Marketing with automation for content workflows, keyword research, campaign reporting, lead management, and routine data processing.
- Assist Development teams with AI-assisted workflows, code documentation, issue classification, testing support, and productivity enhancements under guidance.
- Aid Design teams by automating creative briefing, asset organization, design request management, and repetitive production tasks.
- Help HR/Admin automate recruitment tracking, CV data extraction, interview scheduling, attendance reporting, document preparation, and routine reporting, ensuring data privacy and approvals.
- Develop internal productivity tools such as utilities, forms, dashboards, or scripts to simplify information access and routine tasks.
- Test and validate automated workflows for accuracy and consistency, improving prompts, logic, and incorporating human approval steps as needed.
- Maintain existing automations by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, updating integrations, and keeping documentation current.
- Measure and report business impact in terms of time saved, errors reduced, and manual steps eliminated.
- Document workflows thoroughly with diagrams, setup instructions, and user guides for smooth handover.
- Research emerging AI tools and automation platforms through controlled experiments before recommending adoption.
- Adhere to security and privacy best practices, protecting company and client data and using approved tools only.

Required Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in or holding a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Genuine interest in applying AI and automation to solve real-world business challenges.
- Experience with at least one project involving AI tools, workflow automation, scripting, APIs, or application integration.
- Ability to independently research new tools, follow technical documentation, and troubleshoot problems.
- Practical mindset focused on reliable, effective solutions rather than popularity of tools.
- Strong attention to detail in testing outputs, handling data, and reviewing automated processes.
- Good communication skills with the confidence to ask questions, understand user needs, and explain technical concepts simply.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, report progress, and escalate blockers promptly.
- Openness to feedback and commitment to improving work quality and taking responsibility.

- A portfolio, GitHub repository, or demonstration of AI or automation projects.

You will work closely with multiple departments on real business problems, focusing on small, testable solutions that can be iterated quickly. AI-generated outputs must be reviewed and tested before production use, with appropriate error handling and human oversight. Clear documentation and regular communication are essential.
