AI-Driven Software Developer

Star Solutions is seeking an experienced and innovative AI-Driven Software Developer to join our team in Jhelum, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will possess strong software development skills combined with practical experience using AI-powered coding tools to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complete software applications. This role requires the ability to transform business requirements into functional, reliable, and scalable software solutions by integrating traditional programming expertise with modern AI-assisted development techniques. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, solving complex technical challenges, reviewing AI-generated code, and delivering high-quality software from initial planning through deployment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complete software applications using AI-assisted development tools.
- Utilize AI coding assistants and development agents to enhance coding efficiency and accelerate project delivery.
- Build responsive web applications, dashboards, APIs, backend systems, and database integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-structured code.
- Review, validate, debug, and optimize AI-generated code before implementation.
- Identify and resolve software bugs, performance issues, and technical problems.
- Integrate third-party APIs, databases, authentication systems, and external services.
- Conduct software testing to ensure application functionality, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain existing applications, implement new features, and improve overall system performance.
- Document technical processes and adhere to software development best practices.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of at least one modern programming language and its development ecosystem.
- Practical experience building and maintaining complete software applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, and application architecture.
- Ability to identify errors in AI-generated code and independently implement appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency with Git, version control, debugging, and software testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Jhelum, Pakistan.
- A portfolio, GitHub repository, or examples of completed projects will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, or equivalents.
- Backend development skills using Node.js, Python, PHP/Laravel, or comparable technologies.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and application security best practices.
- Experience building AI-powered applications, integrating language models, or automating development workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from requirements gathering through to deployment.

We expect a developer who goes beyond simply generating code with AI tools. The candidate must fully understand the code produced, make informed technical decisions, rigorously test the final product, and take full responsibility for delivering functional software. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their previous projects, development workflows, AI tools used, and real-world problem-solving experiences during the interview process.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is Rs60,000 to Rs200,000 per month.

Work Location
This is an in-person role based in Jhelum, Pakistan.
