The AI Engineer (Audit Automation & Agentic Systems) role is based full-time on-site in Karachi. The successful candidate will design and implement AI-driven solutions to improve audit, assurance, and advisory workflows. This position involves developing and deploying agentic AI systems focused on audit automation, building and maintaining machine learning models, and integrating pattern recognition and natural language processing (NLP) capabilities into the firm’s existing cloud-based audit platforms. The AI Engineer will work closely with audit, tax, and advisory teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver secure, reliable software components. Additionally, the role requires optimizing model performance, monitoring system behavior, documenting technical designs, and contributing to innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept projects. Coordination with IT and risk teams is essential to ensure data governance, compliance, and alignment with the firm’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems to automate audit processes and enhance assurance workflows.
- Build, train, and optimize machine learning models using pattern recognition and neural networks tailored to audit and risk analytics.
- Integrate NLP techniques for document analysis, information extraction, and conversational AI within cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including audit, tax, advisory, IT, and risk management to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Ensure software components are secure, reliable, and compliant with data governance policies and quality standards.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve AI models and applications.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and project outcomes to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Participate in innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept projects to explore emerging AI technologies relevant to the firm’s services.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including proficiency in algorithms, data structures, APIs, and system integration.
- Expertise in pattern recognition and neural networks for developing and optimizing machine learning models, particularly in audit and risk analytics contexts.
- Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for tasks such as document analysis, information extraction, and agentic system development.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, along with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, data security principles, and compliance requirements; experience in financial, audit, or risk domains is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
