AI Engineer Intern

TechXaro Pvt. Ltd., a dynamic software house specializing in SaaS products, AI development, SEO, digital marketing, and web/app development, is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join their team in Model Town, Lahore. This full-time, paid internship runs for 3-4 months with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role offers hands-on experience building AI agents and chatbots using large language model (LLM) APIs, contributing to live projects, and gaining practical exposure in AI product development for both local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop AI chatbots and agents using LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, and Codex.
- Write clean, efficient Python code to integrate AI features with backend APIs and applications.
- Design, test, and refine prompts to enhance response quality and reliability.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) features enabling chatbots to answer queries from company documents using embeddings and vector databases.
- Create agent workflows that automate multi-step tasks by calling various tools and APIs.
- Take full ownership of projects, driving features from concept through to validated production with focus and urgency.
- Identify and fix bugs, validate results, and ensure software quality before deployment.
- Research emerging AI tools and frameworks, sharing insights with the team.
- Provide regular progress updates and adhere to deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in Node.js and Python, with experience working with APIs and JSON data formats.
- Basic understanding of how large language models and chat-based AI systems operate.
- Familiarity with RAG concepts including embeddings, vector search, and retrieval techniques.
- Working knowledge of Git/GitHub and experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and receptive to feedback.
- Good command of written and verbal English communication.
- Must possess a personal laptop (mandatory for this role).

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Monthly stipend ranging from PKR 10,000 to 20,000, determined based on interview performance and knowledge assessment.
- Internship certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program.
