Join ARTICARES as an AI Platform Software Engineer and take ownership of a single, self-reinforcing system: a reusable, secure, and scalable AI-powered development environment. This role involves creating coding agents, automation, and guardrails that enable the planning, implementation, testing, and shipping of real software features. Each software delivery feeds directly back into improving the environment, creating a continuous loop where every release is faster and higher quality than the last, all while maintaining the reliability stakeholders depend on.
ARTICARES is dedicated to building agentic AI and automation that power rehabilitation robots used by clinicians and patients worldwide. Our physical AI robots—H-Man for arms and ReHandyBot for hands and wrists—along with the CARE Platform, support recovery from stroke, dementia, injury, and aging, bridging hospital care and home rehabilitation. With a global reach from our Singapore headquarters, two decades of research, over 85 peer-reviewed publications, and deployments in more than 12 countries, ARTICARES is scaling the most precious resource in healthcare: the human touch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own ARTICARES’ agentic-AI development environment as a unified system, building a reusable, secure, and scalable platform including coding agents, automation, evaluation harnesses, and guardrails that teams can safely adopt. Use this environment hands-on to deliver software products and continuously improve it with each release.
- Deliver end-to-end software products using the environment, managing features from AI-assisted specification through implementation, testing, review, and release across the digital Care Platform and software for H-Man and ReHandyBot.
- Automate the entire delivery pipeline, including AI-assisted specification, code generation, autonomous testing, review, and deployment, to reduce release times progressively.
- Enhance quality alongside speed by integrating AI-driven static analysis, generation-augmented test suites, and self-healing CI/CD pipelines that detect defects early and minimize regressions.
- Define and monitor delivery metrics such as cycle time, lead time, defect escape rate, and mean time to recovery (MTTR). Use these insights to optimize agent workflows, prompts, and tooling for continuous improvement across your own work and the teams you support.
- Strengthen the environment for scalable reuse by implementing robust security measures, observability, cost controls, and clear documentation, enabling confident adoption by other teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production-quality software, with strong familiarity in modern development practices including testing, CI/CD, and code review.
- Proven experience building and operating AI/LLM-powered development tools such as coding agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration frameworks, with a demonstrated record of shipping real products using these tools.
- Practical expertise with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and delivery automation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions), with a focus on measuring and reducing delivery cycle times.
- Knowledge of LLM safety, evaluation, and observability, with a commitment to implementing guardrails, cost management, and reproducible agent behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in C# and React Native is highly desirable.
