AI Research Engineer

Victreat Health Tech is seeking a talented AI Research Engineer to join our team at the National Science & Technology Park. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing AI-driven solutions by leveraging strong research and engineering skills. This position requires experience in building scalable data and AI pipelines, with a focus on transforming healthcare through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web scraping and data ingestion pipelines for both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Design and implement data processing and indexing pipelines capable of handling large-scale datasets.
- Utilize technologies such as Elasticsearch to enable efficient data indexing and retrieval.
- Apply natural language processing (NLP) techniques to process, extract, and enrich information from diverse data inputs.
- Employ large language model (LLM) engineering principles to build and optimize AI-powered applications and workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain Knowledge Graphs using Neo4j to represent complex relationships within datasets.
- Create components for semantic search, vector search, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Conduct research and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning models, techniques, and frameworks relevant to the company’s products and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, and AI/ML teams to integrate research outcomes into production-ready systems.
- Optimize AI pipelines and components to ensure scalability, high performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Perform experiments, assess model and system performance, and document technical findings and solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience working with Neo4j or other graph database technologies.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or similar search and indexing platforms.
- Strong understanding of data structures, information retrieval, and machine learning fundamentals.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct technical research, experiment with new methodologies, and translate findings into practical applications.
