Key Responsibilities
The AI Researcher will be based full-time on-site in Landhi Town, collaborating closely with product, design, and manufacturing teams. The primary focus will be to apply artificial intelligence techniques to enhance Kassim’s denim and fashion workflows. Daily tasks include researching machine learning models, computer vision methods, and data-driven approaches to improve design processes, production efficiency, sustainability metrics, and quality control.
This role involves building and testing prototypes, processing and analyzing large datasets from production lines and customer feedback, and translating research findings into practical tools and systems. The AI Researcher will document results, prepare internal reports, and help establish best practices for AI implementation within the company. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and related fields is essential. The position also requires effective cross-functional communication to present insights and support ethical, transparent AI deployment aligned with Kassim’s core values.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence, including experience with model development, training, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistics, covering data preprocessing, exploratory analysis, and performance measurement.
- Programming skills in languages commonly used for AI research, particularly Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of research methodology, including conducting literature reviews, designing experiments, and producing clear technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate business and manufacturing challenges into AI research questions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams across technology, design, and production.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant research experience or publications are considered an advantage.
