AI Strategy Consultant

We are looking for an experienced AI Strategy Consultant with 8 to 15 years of expertise to guide clients in effectively leveraging artificial intelligence. This role involves advising on AI roadmaps, operating model design, and use-case prioritization to transform strategic ambitions into actionable, fundable plans. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to assess AI maturity, design scalable AI frameworks, and facilitate executive alignment, ensuring AI initiatives deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AI maturity assessments using structured diagnostic frameworks that evaluate capability, data, and technology readiness.
- Develop multi-horizon AI roadmaps (12, 24, and 36 months) by sequencing use cases based on value, feasibility, and dependencies.
- Design AI operating models, including Center of Excellence (CoE) structures, hub-and-spoke or federated models, and funding or chargeback mechanisms.
- Conduct structured use-case discovery workshops, applying prioritization frameworks such as RICE and value-effort matrices to build a high-impact portfolio.
- Establish AI value realization frameworks with clear KPIs, baseline metrics, and post-deployment tracking methodologies.
- Manage AI portfolio governance, including stage-gating and reallocating investments across the use-case pipeline.
- Facilitate workshops at the C-suite and board levels to align AI ambitions with organizational risk appetite.
- Own the AI adoption and change management strategy at the portfolio level, ensuring smooth integration across business units.
- Navigate competing executive priorities and broker consensus among business-unit leaders.
- Coach client sponsors on championing AI initiatives internally, fostering sustained engagement and support.

Required Qualifications:
- 8 to 15+ years in strategy or management consulting, with at least 3 years focused on AI or digital transformation.
- Technical fluency in AI and machine learning architectures, model types, and data requirements.
- Proficiency in portfolio prioritization and value-scoring frameworks such as RICE and weighted-value matrices.
- Experience designing AI operating models, governance charters, and funding or chargeback mechanisms.
- Familiarity with AI maturity models and capability diagnostic frameworks.
- Ability to review technical architecture documents and proof-of-concept results to validate assumptions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise AI platforms and build-versus-buy considerations, including Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI; familiarity with open-source tools like LangChain and Hugging Face is advantageous.
- Strong executive communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading and managing C-suite workshops.
- Excellent narrative and storytelling abilities to translate roadmaps into compelling, fundable business cases.
- Political acumen to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics without losing momentum.
- Comfort with ambiguity, able to structure vague transformation mandates into clear, sequenced plans.
- Proven coaching and advisory presence, building trust with senior client sponsors over extended engagements.
- Strong written communication skills, capable of producing board-ready documents under tight deadlines.
