Telecard Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Taxation to join its team in Karachi. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the company’s tax compliance and reporting functions, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements while supporting financial and regulatory processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a taxation professional to contribute to a dynamic organization and grow within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and ensure the timely filing of income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory returns in compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist in the preparation of tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, reconciliations, and disclosures required for financial statements.
- Manage tax assessments, audits, and notices, coordinating effectively with regional tax authorities including FBR, SRB, PRA, KPRA, and BRA.
- Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory bodies while maintaining accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
- Monitor tax risks and stay updated on regulatory changes, supporting compliance controls and advising relevant departments on their impact.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of practical experience in taxation, demonstrating a solid understanding of tax laws and compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in using IRIS, the online tax portal, for filing and managing tax returns.

Preferred Qualifications

- Part-qualified status or certification with professional bodies such as CA, ACCA, or ICAP is highly desirable, reflecting advanced knowledge and commitment to the taxation field.
