The role involves processing daily transactions efficiently while ensuring strict adherence to internal procedures and operational controls to manage risk effectively. The incumbent will be responsible for timely handling of customer requests and maintaining compliance with regulatory and group policies. This position requires close coordination with various stakeholders to ensure accurate transaction processing and resolution of outstanding issues within the Global Lending Service (GLS) unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model among relevant teams within GLS.
- Stay updated on Regulatory and Group policies to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement internal standards and procedures aligned with the evolving landscape of International Trade.
- Scrutinize Islamic finance documents related to disbursement and post-disbursement activities.
- Receive and accurately record all incoming requests handled by GLS.
- Process batch operations and other GLS-related transactions within stipulated timelines, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and compliance checks are thoroughly completed.
- Communicate effectively with customers, regulators, and internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Global Lending.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to guarantee timely and accurate transaction processing.
- Resolve all outstanding items in GLS accounts promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Escalation Matrix within the unit.
- Monitor and report any suspicious or unusual activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the closure of customer and stakeholder queries, complaints, and outstanding issues to prevent escalation to critical status.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations, reporting any exceptions to senior management with appropriate justification.
- Maintain proper storage and archiving of all unit records in line with bank policies.
- Adhere to Key Control Standards, including the management of fire-resistant keys.
- Prepare, review, and distribute critical GLS reports, including Capital Finance, Memorandum Item (Past Due Figures), Fixed Industrial reports, Form III submissions to RRU, and infrastructure reports to regulators, ensuring timely submission within defined turnaround times.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, particularly in Global Lending Services and International Trade finance.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to banking and Islamic finance documentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers, regulators, and internal teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless transaction processing and issue resolution.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting suspicious activities in line with risk management protocols.
- Competence in preparing and managing critical operational reports and ensuring adherence to internal control standards.
