mobileLIVE, an award-winning technology company based in Canada and North America, is seeking an experienced Offshore Tech Lead - Analytics to join their expanding team in Lahore. This hybrid role (2 days onsite) requires a strong developer-focused professional to bridge digital analytics implementation, frontend engineering, data layer architecture, and tag management across web, mobile, and eCommerce platforms. The successful candidate will lead the technical health of the analytics ecosystem, write hands-on JavaScript, design standardized data layers, troubleshoot complex telemetry issues, and provide daily guidance to analytics engineers and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead frontend and JavaScript development by building, reviewing, troubleshooting, and optimizing custom JavaScript for browser-based instrumentation, data layer manipulation, DOM manipulation, and event orchestration.
- Manage tag management and MarTech implementation, ensuring the setup and technical health of Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and GA4 containers across web, mobile, and server-side integrations such as Conversion APIs and Tag Gateway.
- Design, standardize, and govern reusable data layer specifications and event schemas for traditional websites, single-page applications (SPAs), and native mobile environments including Firebase.
- Develop custom JavaScript within tag managers and support Quantum Metric event creation, selectors, session replay, and friction point tracking while enforcing strict PII masking and encryption standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues using browser developer tools (Console, Network, Breakpoints), tag manager debuggers, and logging to diagnose JavaScript execution, asynchronous processing, payload construction, and API timing problems.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership, conduct code reviews, establish architectural standards, and mentor analytics engineers, QA resources, and frontend developers embedded within product teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Media, Privacy, and Legal teams to embed tracking, consent management, and data governance into the software development lifecycle.
- Oversee quality assurance and release validation using tools such as GA4 DebugView, GTM Preview, and Adobe Debugger to ensure data accuracy and telemetry quality across digital releases.
- Ensure all tracking scripts, session-replay tools, and data collection setups comply with global data privacy laws and consent frameworks like OneTrust and Google Consent Mode.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital analytics implementation, analytics engineering, or frontend development focused on analytics tracking.
- Strong background in eCommerce analytics, including tracking implementation and optimization for digital retail platforms, checkout flows, conversion funnels, and purchase data layers.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript for web instrumentation, DOM manipulation, and payload construction.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and GA4.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise web and mobile data layers and event schemas.
- Mastery of browser developer tools and platform debuggers for troubleshooting complex analytics issues.
- Practical knowledge of SQL and Python for data manipulation, querying, and advanced analytics workflows.
- Experience configuring custom events and privacy-compliant data capture in tools like Quantum Metric or Dynatrace.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
