Animation Intern

Digitally Hatch is a dynamic full-service digital agency serving clients across international markets. We are seeking a creative and motivated Animation Intern to join our vibrant creative team. This role offers the opportunity to work on real client projects, collaborate closely with experienced animators and video editors, and develop professional animation skills. The internship is designed to help you build a strong portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the animation team in producing 2D motion graphics, explainer videos, and social media animations.
- Animate characters, objects, and text under the supervision of senior animators.
- Support storyboarding, asset preparation, and basic illustration tasks as needed.
- Edit, clean up, and organize project files, layers, and assets to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Accurately apply feedback from senior team members and clients within set deadlines.
- Assist with video editing, sound syncing, and exporting final deliverables in required formats.
- Maintain up-to-date project status in team tracking tools and communicate progress or delays to the Team Lead.
- Conduct research on animation styles, trends, and references to contribute to creative brainstorming.

Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in animation, multimedia, graphic design, fine arts, or a related field; equivalent self-taught experience will also be considered.
- Basic proficiency in at least one of the following software tools: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Toon Boom, or Blender.
- Understanding of fundamental animation principles such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and easing.
- A portfolio, showreel, or sample work demonstrating your skills; academic projects are acceptable.
- Good communication skills in English and the ability to receive and implement constructive feedback positively.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic knowledge of storyboarding, character design, or video editing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools is a plus.
- Interest in creating explainer videos, marketing content, or social media animations.
- Previous internship experience in a related field is beneficial.
